Abstract

This article will present the considerations on the constituent elements of the social philosophy thought by Ibn Khaldun (1332-1406) in his Muqaddimah and in the History of the Berbers. In order to do so, we will update the observations on this theme with the objective of understanding the concepts of assabiya, umran and mulk. The historical reality lived by Ibn Khaldun plunged him into an epistemological reflection of civilization. What are the mistakes and the correct answers to reach a level of social excellence? How to better and better develop societies? These are the questions that lead the khaldunian reflection to be still a current subject and replete with reflections on our existence in society.
