Abstract

After her conversion to the Catholic faith, Edith Stein reformulated her philosophical conceptions, appropriating the thomasian conceptualization. In this paper, we will discuss how she approach the questions about the eternity of being and the creation of the entities, comparing it with the original conception of Thomas Aquinas and showing how this dialogue between medieval and contemporary thought was developed, in a original way, in the book “Finite and eternal being: an attempt at an ascent to the meaning of being”.
