Abstract

These reflections aim at analyzing the philosophical-linguistic concepts, in the different periods of the western civilization history, from the perspective of philosophy of language. More precisely, our intent is to show the way by which were understood the most important philosophical concepts in the field of language. Obviously, a full and detailed history, with their concepts, their complex and cultural elements, could not be exhausted in few pages. Therefore, our goal is rather to present the linguistic concepts from a philosophical point of view, so that we will try to emphasize the way by which language was considered and studied though the linguistic, philosophical and cultural tradition.
