FOR A CRITIQUE OF THE SACRIFICIAL DIMENSION OF NEOLIBERALISM

Abstract

This article seeks to establish dialogues between Philosophy and Science of Religion, based on the criticism of neoliberalism. Articulating the critical proposals of Achille Mbembe and Franz Hinkelammert, revealing the sacrificial dimension of neoliberal capitalism. It is intended to contribute to the understanding of the philosophical dynamics that is found in the religious foundations of the great contemporary problems. It develops a preliminary analysis of the sacrificial assumptions present in the neoliberal discourse during the Covid-19 pandemic.
