Abstract

This article aims to reflect on the concept of human guilt and the need for purification, considering the Faith of the Roman Catholic Church and the penitential dimension present in liturgy as an effective element in the forgiveness of sin for personal conversion and communion with God and His Church. Relevant literature on the theme of liturgy, as well as Sacred Scriptures and historiographical content, were consulted.
