Abstract

The Legru Colony is located in the Porto União municipality at northern region of Santa Catarina state. Is formed by immigrants Ukrainian and Polish descendants. There are presently predominance by Ukrainians. The great earliest Ukrainian immigrants groups arrived on 1896 and around of the churches construction they started to organize his universe of religious and in order celebrate their service according to Ukraine traditions where they brought. The reconstruction universe of the religious has an important role to religiousness, rite, customs and culture preservation. The purpose of this announcement is to analyze the importance of religiousness performed to maintenance and preservation the colony identity and the Ukrainians descendants. Had the such various methodological procedures to realize this work: bibliographical research, field research, informal conversations, documents and antique photographs collecting, and dwellers interviews.
